Bite Reconstruction through Dentures and Dental Implants
Bite reconstruction can result in a total transformation of a person's facial features - often more radical than that of a Cosmetic Face Lift.
This patient had upper and lower dentures that did not fit the person's face. The lips, facial profile, speech, neck and overall posture is effected by your bite.
The patient's dentures were too long and they were never made correctly from the beginning. This resulted in trying to adapt to a bite that was off, a fit that was inaccurate and wear that continued to make everything worse.
This patient simply did not know what to do because she thought she was getting good care from her dentist. She did not know that there is a huge difference in the skill level of dentists, just as there is a huge difference in skill level of professional athletes or writers or politicians.
Dental Face Lift
The patient came to Dr. Sam Muslin as a result of seeing some of his cosmetic reconstruction dental work on KTLA Morning News. She decided to make an appointment. After speaking and consulting with Dr. Muslin, both decided on a bite reconstruction plan that would rebuild her bite, balance her face and use implants to make her dentures far more stable. Her entire facial profile changed as a result of the dentures, TMJ, Lips and body anatomy to become balanced. Her friends were shocked at the dramatic improvement. Thanks to her bite reconstruction, Renetta is a new women.
Treatment to reconstruct her upper and lower dentures took only one month. The patient had to begin the process of accommodating to her new bite and did so very rapidly considering she had worn her old dentures for far too many years. Dr. Sam Muslin using heat processed dentures with veined acrylic to match the skin tone of the patient and help develop teeth that are balanced with her eye color and facial features.
